📌 Role Overview
A Heavy Duty Driver is responsible for safely operating large commercial vehicles such as trucks, buses, tankers, or trailers to transport goods or passengers over short and long distances while following traffic laws and company regulations.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy vehicles safely and responsibly
- Transport goods or passengers to assigned destinations on time
- Follow route plans, schedules, and delivery instructions
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure vehicle safety, cleanliness, and basic maintenance
- Report mechanical issues, accidents, or delays immediately
- Load and unload goods when required (for cargo transport)
- Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery records, or fuel records
- Follow traffic laws, road safety rules, and company policies
- Handle documents such as permits, invoices, or delivery notes
