Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Role Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, efficient transportation planning, and smooth communication between suppliers, transporters, warehouses, and customers. This role plays a key part in optimizing supply chain efficiency and reducing operational delays.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Shipment & Transportation Coordination
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers or distribution centers
- Coordinate with transporters, freight forwarders, and courier partners
2. Order & Delivery Management
- Track orders from dispatch to final delivery
- Monitor shipment status and resolve delays or issues
- Ensure accurate documentation for all deliveries
3. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for stock movement and storage
- Ensure accurate inventory records and stock updates
- Support stock audits and reconciliation activities
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, and delivery notes
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies
- Maintain records of logistics operations
5. Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- Communicate with suppliers and logistics partners for smooth operations
- Negotiate delivery timelines and resolve service issues
6. Problem Solving & Issue Resolution
- Handle delays, damages, or discrepancies in shipments
- Coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders
7. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly logistics reports
- Track KPIs such as delivery time, cost efficiency, and accuracy
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Good communication and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics/ERP systems
