Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Forklift Operator to operate heavy-duty forklifts for loading, unloading, transporting, and stacking materials within warehouses, construction sites, ports, or industrial facilities. The ideal candidate must have experience handling heavy loads and ensuring safe material movement while complying with operational and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy forklifts to load, unload, move, and stack materials or equipment.
- Transport heavy cargo safely within warehouse, yard, port, or project sites.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.
- Ensure safe handling of materials to avoid damage or accidents.
- Follow operational procedures, safety regulations, and site instructions.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and site teams for material movement activities.
- Maintain accurate records of material handling and equipment usage.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Assist in organizing storage areas and maintaining workplace cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and company safety standards at all times.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid Heavy Forklift Operator License/Certification.
- 2+ years of experience operating heavy forklifts in industrial, logistics, construction, or oil & gas environments.
- Knowledge of forklift safety procedures and load handling techniques.
- Ability to work in shifts and outdoor environments when required.
- Good physical fitness and hand-eye coordination.
Preferred Skills
- Experience handling oversized or heavy industrial materials.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment inspection and maintenance.
