JOB DESCRIPTION – MECHANICAL FITTER (UAE 🇦🇪)

Position: Mechanical Fitter

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: UAE

💼 Job Overview

We are looking for skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team for workshop and site operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, installation, and overhaul of mechanical equipment in industrial, marine, oil & gas, or offshore environments.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

✅ Carry out dismantling, inspection, repair, servicing, and reassembly of mechanical equipment

✅ Perform maintenance and installation of pumps, compressors, cranes, winches, valves, rotating equipment, and industrial machinery

✅ Conduct fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment

✅ Follow safe lifting procedures and proper rigging practices for heavy equipment handling

✅ Ensure all materials and spare parts meet required standards before installation or use

✅ Maintain proper housekeeping and workplace safety during all stages of work

✅ Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and mechanical diagrams

✅ Use measuring instruments, hand tools, and workshop equipment accurately and safely

✅ Coordinate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and team members to complete assigned tasks

✅ Report work progress, equipment conditions, and operational issues to supervisors

✅ Perform foreman-level responsibilities when assigned by management

✅ Attend technical training and safety programs as required

🎯 Requirements

✔ Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter

✔ Experience in marine, offshore, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environment preferred

✔ ITI / Diploma / Vocational Training in Mechanical discipline

✔ Good knowledge of mechanical maintenance and workshop practices

✔ Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications

✔ Familiarity with crane signals, rigging, and lifting practices

✔ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

✔ Ability to work independently and within a team environment

💰 Salary & Benefits

💵 Salary: AED 1,400 – AED 1,900 (depending on experience) + Overtime
