Job Title: Senior Hostess / Hostess
Job Summary
Serve as the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring a positive dining experience. Manage guest seating, reservations, waiting lists, and guest inquiries while maintaining excellent customer service standards. A Senior Hostess may also oversee junior hostesses and assist management in coordinating front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables in a professional and friendly manner.
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waiting lists efficiently.
- Coordinate table assignments to maximize seating capacity and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally.
- Maintain accurate reservation records using booking or POS systems.
- Communicate effectively with restaurant management, servers, and kitchen staff regarding guest flow and seating arrangements.
- Monitor dining room occupancy and ensure smooth front-of-house operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the reception and waiting areas.
- Assist guests with information about menus, promotions, and restaurant services.
- Answer incoming phone calls and manage reservation requests.
- Support special events, VIP guests, and group bookings.
- (Senior Hostess) Train, guide, and supervise junior hostesses and ensure adherence to service standards.
