Job Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, driving sales performance, maintaining excellent customer service standards, and ensuring efficient inventory and staff management. This role helps create a positive shopping experience while ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in the day-to-day management of store operations.
- Supervise and support store staff to achieve sales and service goals.
- Ensure high standards of customer service and resolve customer complaints professionally.
- Monitor sales performance and assist in implementing strategies to meet targets.
- Maintain proper inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and coordinate replenishment activities.
- Ensure merchandise is displayed attractively and according to company guidelines.
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Handle cash management, point-of-sale operations, and store opening/closing procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, security procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Prepare operational and sales reports as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification (preferred).
- Previous experience in retail sales or store operations.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and retail operations.
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays when required.
