Job Summary
The Assistant Finance Manager supports the Finance Manager in overseeing the organization's financial operations, budgeting, reporting, and compliance activities. This role assists in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring adherence to financial policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance and identify variances.
- Assist in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Support cash flow management and treasury functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial record-keeping and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory audits and tax filings.
- Monitor compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Prepare financial analyses and management reports for decision-making.
- Support internal controls and risk management processes.
- Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Supervise and guide junior finance staff when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CA, CMA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred.
- 3–7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
