Job Summary
The Oracle Fusion HCM Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, testing, and supporting Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud solutions. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translating them into functional solutions, configuring HCM modules, supporting system integrations and data migration, and ensuring successful project delivery and post-go-live support.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for HR and HCM processes.
- Design and configure Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud applications based on business needs and Oracle best practices.

- Talent Management
- Recruitment
- Goal and Performance Management
- Learning
- Compensation
- Absence Management
- Benefits
- Payroll (where applicable)
- Time and Labor
- Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend standard Oracle Fusion solutions.
- Prepare functional design documents, configuration workbooks, and solution documentation.
- Configure workflows, approval rules, security roles, and profile options.
- Work closely with technical consultants on integrations, reports, customizations, and extensions.
- Support data conversion and migration activities using HCM Data Loader (HDL) and Spreadsheet Loader.
- Perform System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing.
- Troubleshoot functional issues and provide timely resolution during implementation and production support.
- Develop training materials and conduct end-user training sessions.
- Provide post-go-live support, issue resolution, and system enhancements.
- Stay current with Oracle Fusion quarterly updates and recommend relevant new features.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, data governance standards, and Oracle implementation methodologies.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, business users, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in Oracle HCM implementations or application support.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud.
- Experience in at least one end-to-end Oracle Fusion HCM implementation.
- Strong understanding of HR business processes and HCM best practices.
Required Skills
- Functional expertise in Oracle Fusion HCM configuration.
- Strong knowledge of Core HR and one or more additional HCM modules.
- Experience with HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL), and HCM Extracts.
- Knowledge of Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and BI Publisher reporting.
- Understanding of Fast Formula, approval workflows, and security configuration.
- Familiarity with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, and HCM integrations is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a project environment.
- Strong documentation and testing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM Certification.
- Experience with global HR implementations and multiple-country deployments.
- Knowledge of Payroll, Benefits, and Time & Labor modules.
- Experience working in consulting, implementation, or managed services environments.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
