Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Bartender / Front Office Associate to join our hospitality team in Malta. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent guest service by managing both bar operations and front office duties. This role includes preparing beverages, handling reservations, processing guest check-ins and check-outs, managing payments, and ensuring guests enjoy a seamless experience throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities
Bartender Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel standards.
- Create classic and signature cocktails with consistency and excellent presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area at all times.
- Monitor bar inventory and report stock shortages when required.
- Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems accurately.
- Recommend beverages and promote daily specials to increase sales.
- Follow responsible alcohol service practices and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Front Office Duties
- Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Manage room reservations and update guest information in the hotel management system.
- Provide guests with accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests.
- Process payments and maintain accurate billing records.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional appearance.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Bartender, Front Office Associate, or in a similar hospitality role.
- Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of cocktail preparation and beverage service.
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and POS software.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Good English communication skills (additional languages are an advantage).
- Candidates must hold a valid Skills Pass Certificate.
