Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeping Attendant to join our hotel team in Malta. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the hotel, ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering outstanding service while adhering to hotel quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms, suites, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas to hotel standards.
- Make beds, replace linens and towels, replenish guest amenities, and prepare rooms for arriving guests.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, polish, and sanitize all assigned areas.
- Ensure all guest rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked before occupancy.
- Restock housekeeping carts with linens, toiletries, cleaning materials, and supplies.
- Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure they meet hotel cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged furniture, malfunctioning equipment, or safety hazards.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and housekeeping-related inquiries.
- Follow proper procedures for handling lost and found items.
- Safely operate housekeeping equipment and use cleaning chemicals according to safety regulations.
- Comply with hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
- Support deep-cleaning projects and other housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure excellent guest satisfaction.
- Attend training sessions and maintain professional standards at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Housekeeping Attendant, preferably in a 4-star or 5-star hotel.
- Basic to conversational English communication skills.
- Good understanding of hotel housekeeping procedures and cleaning techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Physically fit and able to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and carry housekeeping equipment during shifts.
- Positive attitude, honesty, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
