Job Summary
The Female IT Technician provides first-line and second-line technical support for hardware, software, networks, and user accounts within a luxury private-estate environment.
The role ensures reliable IT services, timely resolution of user issues, proper maintenance of IT assets, and adherence to security, confidentiality, and data-protection standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day IT support to end users across departments, including desktop, laptop, mobile, printer, and peripheral support.
- Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot operating systems, Microsoft Office, antivirus, email systems, and other approved software.
- Set up and maintain user accounts, email accounts, passwords, access rights, and basic permissions in line with IT policies.
- Monitor and maintain LAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, access points, and basic network connectivity.
- Respond to IT helpdesk tickets, calls, and user requests; log, prioritise, resolve, and close incidents within agreed timeframes.
- Perform routine maintenance, software updates, backups, and health checks on IT equipment and systems.
- Assist with the setup and support of meeting rooms, AV equipment, video conferencing, and presentation systems.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT hardware, software licences, accessories, and consumables.
- Follow IT security best practices, including patch management, antivirus updates, access control, password security, and data-protection requirements.
- Support onboarding and offboarding of staff from an IT perspective, including device setup, account creation/deactivation, and asset handover.
- Coordinate with external vendors, ISPs, and service providers for line faults, repairs, upgrades, and warranty claims.
- Document standard procedures, known issues, and resolutions and contribute to the IT knowledge base and user guides.
- Ensure confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information, devices, systems, and user data.
- Comply with all applicable IT policies, procedures, security guidelines, and operational requirements.
- Perform other reasonable duties as required according to operational needs.
Required Competencies
- Solid practical knowledge of Windows/macOS environments, Microsoft Office, email systems, printers, and basic networking.
- Good troubleshooting skills and a structured approach to diagnosing and resolving IT issues.
- Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to explain technical matters clearly and simply.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information and devices.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple requests, and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of IT security principles, including passwords, access control, backups, antivirus, and phishing awareness.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or equivalent are an advantage.
- 2–4 years of hands-on IT support experience, preferably in hospitality, luxury estates, facilities management, or a similar high-service environment.
- Familiarity with basic server administration, backup solutions, and cloud services such as Microsoft 365 is an advantage.
- Experience supporting users in a professional or high-service environment is preferred.
