Job Summary
The Female QHSE Supervisor supports the implementation and day-to-day management of quality, health, safety, and environmental systems across a luxury private-estate operation.
The role ensures compliance with applicable legal, client, and internal requirements; promotes a strong safety culture; conducts inspections and audits; coordinates training; supports incident investigations; and contributes to continuous improvement in QHSE performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and maintaining the QHSE management system, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Conduct regular QHSE inspections, audits, and workplace observations across operational areas.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Monitor compliance with legal, client, and internal QHSE requirements.
- Support incident, accident, near-miss, and occupational illness investigations.
- Assist with root-cause analysis and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain QHSE records, logs, permits, inspection checklists, training records, and audit reports.
- Coordinate and deliver QHSE inductions, toolbox talks, awareness sessions, and targeted training.
- Promote safe working practices and a proactive safety culture.
- Monitor contractor and service-provider QHSE performance.
- Support emergency preparedness activities and emergency drills.
- Track QHSE KPIs and prepare periodic QHSE reports.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support internal and external audits and inspections.
- Liaise with relevant authorities, clients, and internal stakeholders when delegated.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, labelling, and disposal of hazardous substances and waste.
- Advise operational teams on QHSE requirements for new activities, equipment, processes, or chemicals.
- Perform other reasonable duties required according to operational needs.
Required Competencies
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety principles.
- Good understanding of risk assessment and hazard identification.
- Knowledge of incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
- Practical experience conducting inspections, audits, and safety training.
- Good knowledge of QHSE procedures and legal compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage with employees, contractors, and management.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to prepare and analyse QHSE reports.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
- Ability to respond effectively to operational and emergencies.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement and safety culture.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Recognised QHSE certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant QHSE experience.
- Experience in hospitality, luxury estates, facilities management, or a similar high-service environment is preferred.
- Experience working with contractors and service providers is an advantage.
