Job Summary
The Female Electrical Technician is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, buildings, plant, machinery, and related facilities within a private estate.
The role involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, breakdown response, emergency support, and assisting the Senior Technician and Chief Engineer with technical and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, equipment, buildings, plant, machinery, and related facilities.
- Carry out electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and basic fault finding.
- Inspect lighting systems, power supplies, electrical panels, switches, sockets, and other electrical equipment.
- Identify electrical faults, defects, hazards, and maintenance requirements.
- Assist with planned preventive maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, alarms, and emergencies.
- Support emergency procedures, including emergency shutdowns, firefighting support, and personnel evacuation when required.
- Work closely with the Senior Technician and Chief Engineer on electrical repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain electrical systems and associated equipment in safe and good operating condition.
- Assist with inspection reports, technical checklists, maintenance records, and service reports.
- Monitor contractors and service providers during electrical and technical works and report any concerns.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and electrical materials are used safely and correctly.
- Follow all electrical safety standards, operational procedures, and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
- Perform other reasonable technical and maintenance duties as assigned according to operational requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as an Electrical Technician or in a similar technical position.
- Relevant electrical/technical qualification or certification preferred.
- Good knowledge of electrical maintenance and repair.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams is an advantage.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and safe working practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
- Willingness and ability to respond to breakdowns and emergencies.
