Job Description: Foreman – Electrical & Plumbing
Job Summary
The Foreman – Electrical & Plumbing is responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical and plumbing works at project sites. The role involves managing technicians and workers, ensuring work is completed according to drawings and specifications, maintaining quality and safety standards, coordinating with other site teams, and ensuring timely completion of assigned activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily electrical and plumbing activities at the project/site.
- Allocate work to electricians, plumbers, technicians, and helpers.
- Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and MEP drawings and layouts.
- Ensure installation work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Monitor installation of electrical wiring, conduits, panels, switches, lighting, earthing, and related systems.
- Supervise plumbing installation, including water supply, drainage, sanitary systems, piping, valves, and fittings.
- Coordinate with civil, HVAC, and other site teams to avoid work conflicts and delays.
- Inspect completed work and ensure proper workmanship and quality.
- Conduct testing and inspection of electrical and plumbing installations before handover.
- Identify technical issues and coordinate with the Site Engineer/Project Manager for resolution.
- Monitor availability and proper use of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare material requirements and inform the concerned team about shortages.
- Maintain daily work progress reports and manpower records.
- Ensure workers follow approved work methods and safety procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks and promote safe working practices.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe handling of electrical and plumbing equipment.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors when required.
- Monitor productivity and ensure work is completed within the planned schedule.
- Report defects, rework requirements, delays, and site issues to management.
- Support final inspection, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.

Required Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Plumbing, or MEP-related field preferred.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in electrical and plumbing installation/supervision.
- Strong experience in construction, building projects, facilities, or MEP works.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and site requirements.
- Knowledge of electrical and plumbing safety practices.
