2. Key Responsibilities

Acquire, process, interpret, and analyze geophysical data, including seismic, gravity, magnetic, and electrical survey data.
Interpret 2D and 3D seismic data to identify geological structures, faults, folds, and potential hydrocarbon-bearing formations.
Develop subsurface geological and geophysical models to support exploration and field development.
Identify potential drilling locations by evaluating subsurface formations and reservoir characteristics.
Integrate geophysical data with geological, petrophysical, and well-log data.
Prepare seismic sections, maps, interpretation reports, and technical presentations.
Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, drilling engineers, and other subsurface specialists.
Evaluate exploration prospects and assess geological risks and uncertainties.
Support well planning, drilling operations, and reservoir characterization.
Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of geophysical datasets.
Follow company procedures, environmental requirements, and health and safety regulations.

3. Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geophysics, Applied Geophysics, Physics, Geology, or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in seismic interpretation, geophysical data processing, or subsurface evaluation.
Experience in oil and gas exploration is preferred for petroleum-sector positions.
Familiarity with geophysical software and interpretation workflows is an advantage.

4. Technical Skills

Seismic data acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
2D and 3D seismic interpretation.
Geological and structural mapping.
Subsurface modeling and reservoir characterization.
Data analysis, quality control, and technical reporting.
Knowledge of well logs and integration of multidisciplinary subsurface data.

Common software: Petrel, Kingdom, OpendTect, and specialized seismic processing tools, depending on the employer.
