Procurement Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for construction projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
- Source, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for materials, equipment, and services.
- Lead contract negotiations to secure advantageous terms, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay abreast of market trends, pricing, and new suppliers in the UAE.
- Manage and optimize the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to purchase order issuance and delivery.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Ensure all procured materials and services meet the company's quality standards and project specifications.
- Identify potential procurement risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7-8 years of proven experience in a procurement role, specifically within the construction industry in the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of the UAE market, including established networks with suppliers of construction materials, MEP, finishes, and equipment.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a proven track record of achieving cost savings.
- Must be fluent in English and Hindi. Proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid understanding of contractual terms and legal compliance related to procurement in the UAE.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
