Head of HR
Job Title: Head of Human Resources
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Managing Director
Location: UAE (e.g., Dubai, Abu Dhabi)
Salary Range: AED 35,000 - AED 45,000 per month
Job Purpose:
The Head of HR is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. This role provides overarching leadership for the entire HR function, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Organizational Design, Change Management, Performance Management, Training & Development, Compensation & Benefits, and Employee Relations. The incumbent will act as a strategic partner to the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Partner with the senior leadership team to define the organization's long-term mission and goals; identify ways to support this mission through talent management.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy and roadmap aligned with the company's vision and objectives.
- Lead organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills gap analysis.
- Drive major change management initiatives, including M&A integration, restructuring, and cultural transformation.
Talent Management & Development:
- Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retirement, ensuring a best-in-class employee experience.
- Design and implement effective performance management systems to drive high performance and employee development.
- Create and manage leadership development, coaching, and mentoring programs to build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
- Assess organizational training needs and implement development programs to enhance capabilities.
Compensation & Benefits (C&B):
- Develop and manage a competitive total rewards strategy (compensation, benefits, incentives) to attract and retain top talent.
- Ensure C&B structures are equitable, cost-effective, and compliant with local (UAE Labor Law) and international regulations.
- Oversee the annual salary review and bonus cycle.
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and practices are compliant with UAE labor laws and other relevant regulations.
- Oversee the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and leverage data and analytics for informed decision-making and reporting to the board.
- Manage the HR budget and departmental resources efficiently.
Employee Relations & Culture:
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
- Act as the ultimate point of escalation for complex employee relations issues, ensuring they are resolved fairly and legally.
- Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM-SCP) is highly preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5-7 years in a senior HR leadership role (e.g., HR Director, Head of HR).
- Proven experience in a multinational corporation or large, complex regional organization.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE Labor Law and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful HR strategies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
