Job Summary:
The Civil Technician performs inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs related to the building's structural and architectural elements. This role helps preserve the integrity and aesthetics of the facility's hardscape and building fabric.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect building exteriors, roofs, walls, floors, ceilings, and structural components for signs of damage, wear, or water intrusion.
- Perform minor repairs to concrete, plaster, masonry, tiles, flooring, wall partitions, doors, windows, and hardware.
- Assist in waterproofing applications, sealing joints, and repairing cracks.
- Conduct routine maintenance of external areas, including clearing minor drainage paths and inspecting pavement.
- Paint and perform basic decorative touch-ups to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Support major renovation or repair projects by preparing sites and assisting contractors.
- Monitor and report any major structural concerns to the Civil Engineer or Manager.
- Maintain tools and equipment for civil works.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related trade certificate.
- 2-4 years of experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related civil works field.
- Practical skills in carpentry, masonry, painting, and basic structural repairs.
- Ability to read basic architectural drawings and plans.
- Good understanding of building materials and methods.
