Receptionist – Hotel Front Office

Job Summary:
The Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests, creating a lasting impression. Responsible for the entire guest arrival, stay, and departure experience at the front desk, ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and efficient process while delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Check-in/Check-out: Handle the complete registration and departure process accurately and efficiently, following payment procedures.
- Guest Service: Provide a warm welcome, answer inquiries, and offer information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions. Handle guest requests and complaints promptly.
- Operations: Manage room assignments, issue keys, and maintain guest privacy. Handle cashiering duties, foreign exchange, and post charges accurately.
- Communication: Answer telephone calls, direct calls, and take messages. Liaise effectively with other departments (Housekeeping, Maintenance, Reservations) to fulfill guest needs.
- Administration: Maintain a neat and organized front desk area. Complete all necessary reports and shift checklists.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma required; diploma in Hospitality preferred.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, hotel experience a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Basic computer literacy. Familiarity with a hotel PMS (like Opera) is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
