Detailed Job Description:
We require multi-skilled construction workers proficient in one or more of the following trades: Masonry, Steel Fixing (Reinforcement), and Carpentry. You will be integral to building and repairing structural frameworks for various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities (Role-Specific):
- Mason: Lay bricks, concrete blocks, or natural stones to build walls, partitions, arches, and other structures. Mix mortar and spread it onto foundations. Align structures using levels and plumb bobs.
- Steel Fixer: Cut, bend, and place steel reinforcement bars (rebar) and mesh according to engineering drawings. Tie rebar together using wire to form the skeletal framework for concrete structures (foundations, columns, beams, slabs).
- Carpenter: Construct, install, and repair wooden frameworks, forms for concrete, roof structures, floor joists, partitions, and finishing work (doors, windows, trim). Operate tools like saws, drills, and nail guns.
General Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret basic construction drawings and plans.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning, setting up barriers, and unloading materials.
- Use and maintain hand/power tools specific to the trade(s).
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and follows safety regulations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience in at least one of the listed trades.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous labor in all weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and methods.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to learn and potentially cross-train in other trades.
