Detailed Job Description:
We require experienced Welders to join our metal fabrication team. You will be responsible for fabricating and joining metal parts according to specifications using various welding techniques, ensuring strong, clean, and precise welds that meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Study engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine material requirements and welding instructions.
- Set up welding equipment, select appropriate methods (SMAW, GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, etc.), and prepare materials (cutting, grinding, fitting).
- Perform high-quality welds on various metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminum) in different positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
- Inspect welds for accuracy, bead profile, and conformance to specifications; identify and repair any defects.
- Operate related machinery such as plasma cutters, flame cutters, and grinders.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring proper storage of tools, gases, and materials.
- Strictly follow all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like helmets, gloves, and respirators.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of professional welding experience.
- Proficiency in at least one major welding process (MIG/MAG, TIG, ARC/Stick).
- Ability to pass a practical welding test.
- Knowledge of welding symbols, metal properties, and joint types.
- Familiarity with welding safety standards and equipment maintenance.
- Good hand-eye coordination and steady hands.
