Detailed Job Description:
We are seeking skilled and meticulous Machine Technicians to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment. You will play a critical role in ensuring minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency in a manufacturing or production setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, parts replacement) on various machines according to scheduled plans.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults using technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and observation.
- Disassemble machinery to replace defective components such as gears, bearings, seals, and shafts.
- Accurately reassemble machines, calibrate settings, and perform test runs to ensure proper function.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematic drawings to understand machine functions and repair procedures.
- Maintain detailed logs of maintenance work, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Adhere strictly to all workplace safety standards and lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and other technicians to coordinate repairs.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years) as a Machine Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine systems.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) and a wide array of hand/power tools.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and PLCs is a strong advantage.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various conditions.
- High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
