Detailed Job Description:
We are hiring reliable Construction Labourers to provide essential support on construction sites. This is a physically demanding role that forms the backbone of any project, ensuring tradespeople have the materials and clean workspace they need to be efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and deliver them to the appropriate locations on-site.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning and clearing debris, digging trenches, compacting earth, and erecting scaffolding or barriers.
- Assist skilled tradesmen (masons, carpenters, electricians) as directed by the site supervisor.
- Operate and maintain non-specialized tools and equipment (e.g., concrete mixers, compactors, saws).
- Follow instructions carefully to contribute to the overall progress of the project.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment, adhering to all site safety rules and wearing mandatory PPE (hard hat, boots, vest, gloves).
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- No formal education required, but prior construction site experience is a plus.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina.
- Ability to follow instructions and work reliably as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of safety precautions on a construction site.
- Punctuality and a strong work ethic.
