WAITERS/WAITRESSES
Location: Malta (Restaurants, Hotels, Cafés)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Overview:
We are looking for friendly, professional, and efficient Waiters/Waitresses to provide exceptional table service. You will be the face of the establishment, ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of the menu (ingredients, preparation methods) and daily specials to make recommendations.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, using the POS system correctly.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to service standards.
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints politely and efficiently, escalating when necessary.
- Process payments and ensure correct billing.
- Set up, clear, and clean tables efficiently, maintaining a tidy dining area.
- Assist in restocking side stations, polishing cutlery/glassware, and basic opening/closing duties.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Positive, can-do attitude and a professional appearance.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work well under pressure.
- Team player with a strong work ethic.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of other languages (Italian, French, German) is a major advantage in Malta.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
