QA/QC Engineer
Reports To: QA/QC Manager / Project Manager
Summary: The QA/QC Engineer implements the project's Quality Management System. They focus on preventing defects by establishing procedures and inspecting works to ensure compliance with project specifications and international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project-specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements.
- Conduct inspections at defined Hold and Witness Points (as per ITP) for all activities (concrete, reinforcement, welding, backfilling, etc.).
- Review material submittals and inspect delivered materials for compliance with approved samples and specifications.
- Coordinate with third-party testing labs for material sampling and testing (concrete cubes, soil, asphalt, etc.).
- Document all inspections, tests, and non-conformities; issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain comprehensive QA/QC records for the project handover dossier.
- Conduct internal audits and prepare for external audits by clients or certification bodies.
- Liaise with the client's representative for joint inspections and approvals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., CQI, IRCA Lead Auditor) is a strong advantage.
- 3-5 years of QA/QC experience in construction.
- Thorough knowledge of construction standards, codes, and testing procedures.
- Meticulous, systematic, and possesses strong documentation skills.
