Architectural Engineer
Reports To: Architectural Manager / Project Manager
Summary: The Architectural Engineer focuses on the architectural and finishing aspects of the project. They ensure that the built form aligns with aesthetic design intent, functionality, and the specifications of finishes and architectural elements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review architectural drawings, interior designs, and finishing schedules.
- Coordinate with structural and MEP services to integrate architectural elements (e.g., block work, partitions, false ceilings, facades).
- Supervise and inspect all architectural and finishing works (plastering, tiling, painting, joinery, glass & aluminum, waterproofing).
- Approve samples of finishes (stone, tiles, paint colors, wood) and ensure bulk materials match.
- Resolve site clashes related to architectural details and finishes.
- Manage the submission and approval of shop drawings for architectural components.
- Ensure work complies with accessibility codes, space standards, and aesthetic requirements.
- Snag and de-snag architectural elements before handover.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Architecture.
- 2-5 years of site-based experience in finishing works for high-quality projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D visualization software.
- Strong eye for detail, aesthetics, and quality of finishes.
- Knowledge of building codes related to architecture and finishes.
