Land Surveyor
Reports To: Senior Land Surveyor / Site Manager
Summary: The Land Surveyor is responsible for all geospatial measurements on the project, from initial land topography to final as-built verification. They provide the accurate dimensional control essential for correct construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct topographical surveys of the site before work commences.
- Establish primary control networks using GPS and Total Stations.
- Set out the exact location of all site elements: boundaries, building grids, foundations, columns, roads, and utilities.
- Perform regular monitoring surveys for vertical/horizontal alignment of structures, settlement, and deformation.
- Calculate cut/fill volumes for earthworks.
- Verify the accuracy of constructed works and prepare as-built survey drawings.
- Maintain and calibrate all surveying equipment.
- Ensure survey data is accurately recorded, processed, and stored.
- Coordinate with site engineers to transfer setting-out points.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or degree in Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction surveying.
- Expert-level proficiency with Total Stations, GPS (RTK), Auto Levels, and survey software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Leica, Trimble).
- High level of precision and attention to detail.
- Strong mathematical and data management skills.
