Job Description:
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide essential support to the nursing and medical staff, ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to maintain the highest standards of hygiene, patient care, and hospital protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Vital Signs: Measure and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) as directed by the nursing staff.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients by adhering to infection control policies and proper handling of linens and equipment.
- Support Services: Assist in transferring and positioning patients, preparing rooms for admission, and supporting patients before and after procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to report any changes in a patient's condition or behavior.
- Patient Advocacy: Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families, respecting cultural sensitivities and patient confidentiality.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Nationality & Gender: Must be Philippines nationality and Female (as per organizational requirements).
- Experience: Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Nursing Aide, or similar role in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Skills: Basic understanding of medical terminology, hygiene standards, and patient handling techniques.
- Language: Excellent communication skills in English is required (knowledge of Arabic or Hindi is a plus).
- Attributes: Compassionate, patient, physically fit, and able to stand for long periods. Must be able to work flexibly (including shifts, weekends, and public holidays) in a fast-paced hospital environment.
