Detailed Key Responsibilities
Book Assembly
- Assemble sewn or glued book blocks with covers
- Perform casing-in for hardcover books
- Apply endpapers and spine lining materials
- Operate pressing and trimming machines
Finishing & Quality Control
- Inspect final products for structural integrity
- Ensure square trimming and professional presentation
- Repair minor defects where possible
- Maintain consistency across production batches
Specialty Work
- Handle custom or limited-edition binding tasks
- Work on packaging-related binding solutions
- Assist in sample production and prototypes
Maintenance & Housekeeping
- Maintain tools and binding equipment
- Keep adhesives and materials properly stored
- Follow strict safety and cleanliness protocols
