Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon to provide comprehensive orthopedic care, including surgical and non-surgical management of musculoskeletal disorders. The consultant will be responsible for diagnosing and treating bone, joint, ligament, tendon, and muscle conditions while maintaining international standards of clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Surgical Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic orthopedic conditions
- Perform elective and emergency orthopedic surgeries
- Conduct joint replacement procedures (hip, knee, shoulder)
- Manage fractures, trauma cases, and sports injuries
- Perform arthroscopic and minimally invasive procedures
- Provide post-operative care and rehabilitation guidance
Patient Care
- Conduct detailed patient assessments and treatment planning
- Interpret diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRI, CT scans)
- Prescribe medications and physiotherapy plans
- Educate patients on recovery and preventive care
Administrative & Leadership Duties
- Participate in hospital quality assurance programs
- Contribute to departmental planning and case reviews
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors and residents
Requirements
- Valid DOH License or DOH Passer
- Minimum 10 years post-specialization experience
- Expertise in trauma, joint replacement, or subspecialty area preferred
- Strong surgical track record
- Immediate availability preferred
