Position Overview
Ain Al Khaleej Hospital is seeking a highly experienced Consultant Breast Surgeon to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, managing, and surgically treating benign and malignant breast conditions while ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and clinical excellence.
The role requires extensive expertise in breast oncology, oncoplastic surgery, and minimally invasive procedures, along with the ability to work collaboratively with radiologists, oncologists, pathologists, and plastic surgeons.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Surgical Duties
- Evaluate and manage patients presenting with breast diseases
- Perform breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and reconstructive coordination
- Conduct oncoplastic procedures where appropriate
- Manage benign breast disorders and high-risk screening cases
- Interpret imaging results in coordination with radiology
- Participate in tumor board meetings and multidisciplinary case discussions
Patient Care & Management
- Provide pre-operative consultation and counseling
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Monitor post-operative recovery and manage complications
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Leadership & Quality
- Contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior physicians and surgical staff
- Ensure compliance with DOH regulations and hospital policies
Requirements
- Valid DOH License or DOH eligibility
- Minimum 10 years post-specialization experience
- Fellowship or subspecialty training in Breast Surgery preferred
- Strong background in breast oncology and advanced surgical techniques
- Immediate availability preferred
