Job Title: Specialist / Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon

Job Summary:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to join our dynamic team. The role encompasses the management of complex trauma, elective joint reconstruction, spinal surgery, or sports medicine (depending on sub-specialty). The candidate will be expected to handle a high volume of acute trauma calls and contribute to the department's academic and service development goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive management of acute orthopedic trauma as part of the on-call team (fractures, dislocations, poly-trauma).
- Perform elective orthopedic surgeries in your area of sub-specialization (e.g., total joint arthroplasty, arthroscopic surgery, spinal decompression/fusion, pediatric orthopedics, limb reconstruction).
- Manage post-operative care and rehabilitation plans for surgical patients.
- Conduct outpatient clinics for trauma follow-up and elective orthopedic conditions.
- Provide consultations to the Emergency Department and other hospital services.
- Work closely with physiotherapy, rheumatology, and pain management teams.
- Guide and teach orthopedic fellows, residents, and interns.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement and research initiatives.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid DOH License or DOH passer (Mandatory).
- Board Certification or equivalent in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Minimum 10 years of independent operative experience post-specialization.
- Fellowship training in a sub-specialty (Trauma, Joint Replacement, Spine, Sports Medicine) is highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage complex trauma and perform advanced orthopedic procedures independently.
- Physical stamina for long surgical procedures and on-call duties.
- Leadership qualities and a team-oriented approach.
- Immediate availability to join is highly preferred.
