Job Title: Specialist / Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist (ENT)
Department: Otorhinolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
Reporting To: Head of ENT Department
Job Summary:
We are recruiting a senior ENT Specialist/Consultant with broad surgical and clinical expertise. The candidate will manage both adult and pediatric ENT disorders, with a significant focus on advanced otology, rhinology, laryngology, and head & neck surgery. A commitment to excellent patient care and surgical precision is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage medical and surgical conditions of the ears, nose, sinuses, throat, and head & neck.
- Perform a wide range of elective and emergency surgical procedures, including but not limited to: tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), tympanoplasty, septorhinoplasty, microlaryngeal surgery, and neck surgeries.
- Manage ENT emergencies such as epistaxis, airway obstructions, foreign bodies, and deep neck space infections.
- Run specialized outpatient clinics (e.g., vertigo, hearing loss, allergy, voice disorders).
- Collaborate with Audiology, Speech Therapy, Oncology, and Maxillofacial Surgery departments.
- Participate in on-call rota for emergency coverage.
- Supervise and train ENT residents and junior staff.
- Uphold the highest standards of surgical safety and patient care.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid DOH License or DOH passer (Mandatory).
- Board Certification or equivalent in Otorhinolaryngology.
- Minimum 10 years of post-specialization surgical and clinical experience.
- Robust surgical logbook demonstrating proficiency in core and advanced ENT procedures.
- Experience in a tertiary care setting is preferred.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and surgical dexterity.
- Strong interpersonal skills for managing a diverse patient population.
- Immediate availability to join is highly preferred.
