Key Responsibilities
Cost & Commercial Management:
* Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and budgets
* Monitor project costs, cash flow, and cost-to-complete forecasts.
* Track material, labor, and fabrication costs against approved budgets.
* Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
Measurement & Billing:
* Prepare and submit interim payment certificates (IPC) and final bills.
* Measure works executed at site and fabrication shop as per approved drawings.
* Verify subcontractor measurements, invoices, and claims.
* Reconcile quantities between BOQ, drawings, and site execution.
Contracts & Variations:
* Administer subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
* Identify, evaluate, and price variations, change orders, and claims.
* Prepare variation submissions and negotiate with clients/consultants.
* Maintain proper records for contractual correspondence and approvals.
Subcontractor & Supplier Management:
* Assist in subcontractor tendering, evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
* Certify subcontractor payments in line with contract terms and progress.
* Monitor advances, recoveries, retention, and final settlement.
Project Coordination & Reporting:
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and planning teams.
* Prepare monthly commercial reports, cost variance reports, and dashboards.
* Support project close-out, final accounts, and audit requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* 3–8 years of relevant experience in Contracting and/or fabrication projects.
* GCC experience preferred (UAE experience is an advantage).
Technical Skills:
* Strong knowledge of Fabrication & MEP systems
* Experience in fabrication, Bill of Quantities and measurements.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and commercial tracking tools.
* Familiarity with contract conditions, measurement standards, and billing procedures.
