Architecture & Planning Group is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer (Design) to join its expanding design team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will lead structural design activities for complex building and infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with international standards and project specifications.
The role requires extensive experience in structural analysis, design coordination, and leadership within architectural and engineering consultancy environments across the GCC.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural design development for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations for concrete, steel, and composite structures.
- Review architectural drawings and coordinate structural solutions with design teams.
- Ensure designs comply with international codes, UAE regulations, and project requirements.
- Prepare structural reports, design calculations, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and project managers to resolve design issues.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and draftsmen.
- Participate in design meetings and coordinate with clients and consultants.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality structural designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in structural design, preferably with engineering consultancy firms.
- Proven GCC project experience.
- Strong knowledge of structural design codes and standards.
- Proficiency in structural design software and engineering tools.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills.
