Job Summary:

The Third-Party Lifting Equipment Engineer / Inspector is responsible for carrying out independent inspections, testing, and certification of lifting equipment and accessories to ensure compliance with international standards, local regulations, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspection and testing of lifting equipment such as cranes, hoists, forklifts, lifting beams, shackles, slings, and other lifting accessories
Perform periodic, pre-use, and statutory inspections as per regulatory requirements
Verify equipment compliance with international standards (e.g., LOLER, BS, ISO) and UAE regulations
Prepare detailed inspection reports, test certificates, and compliance documentation
Identify defects, wear, or damage and recommend corrective actions or rejection
Witness load testing and ensure safe execution of test procedures
Review lifting equipment documentation, certificates, and maintenance records
Ensure calibration of testing tools and instruments
Liaise with clients, site teams, and regulatory authorities when required
Maintain accurate records of inspections, certifications, and reports
Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with HSE policies and procedures

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
Certification from a recognized third-party inspection body (e.g., LEEA, TÜV, or equivalent)
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in lifting equipment inspection and certification
Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, load testing, and inspection techniques
Familiarity with international standards (LOLER, ISO, BS, OSHA)
Good understanding of UAE safety regulations and authority requirements
Valid UAE driving license (preferred)
