Job Summary
The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department at an automobile dealership. This role involves understanding customer concerns, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring a smooth and satisfactory service experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs.
- Clearly document customer concerns and service requests.
- Provide accurate cost estimates and timelines for repairs and maintenance.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure proper diagnosis and repair.
- Communicate updates to customers regarding service progress.
- Upsell additional services, maintenance packages, or accessories where appropriate.
- Ensure timely delivery of vehicles and explain completed work to customers.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain service records and follow dealership processes and standards.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Service Advisor in an automobile dealership (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills (service management software, invoicing, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Automobile Engineering or related field.
- Experience with dealership management systems (DMS).
- Knowledge of specific automotive brands (optional but advantageous).
