Job Summary
A Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. The role involves coordinating with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and site staff to track progress, identify delays, and optimize resource utilization across construction, engineering, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed project schedules and work plans
- Develop project timelines using planning and scheduling software
- Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly
- Analyze project risks, delays, and critical activities
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and performance analyses
- Track manpower, materials, equipment, and resource allocation
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities
- Ensure compliance with project milestones and contractual deadlines
- Participate in project meetings and provide planning insights
- Conduct delay analysis and recovery planning when required

Qualifications

- Experience in construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, EPC, or industrial projects preferred
