HSE Engineer (Health, Safety & Environment Engineer)
Job Summary
An HSE Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, incident investigations, and safety training programs across construction, industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and safety programs
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits
- Monitor workplace safety practices and environmental compliance
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and company standards
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases
- Prepare HSE reports, documentation, and compliance records
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and employee training
- Coordinate emergency response plans and evacuation procedures
- Monitor use of PPE and safe work practices on-site
- Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors on HSE matters

Qualifications

- NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE certifications preferred
- 2–8 years of relevant HSE experience preferred
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, or industrial projects is an advantage
