Job Summary
A Quantity Survey Engineer is responsible for managing project costs, quantities, contracts, and budgeting to ensure construction and engineering projects are completed within financial targets. The role involves cost estimation, quantity take-offs, billing, tendering, and coordination with project teams, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications
- Analyze project costs, budgets, and material requirements
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and tender documentation
- Monitor project expenses and cost control activities
- Verify contractor bills, subcontractor payments, and variations
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams
- Conduct site measurements and valuation of work completed
- Assist in contract administration and claims management
- Prepare progress reports, cost forecasts, and financial summaries
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and contractual terms
- Support procurement and material planning activities

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- 1–8 years of relevant experience preferred
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, real estate, or EPC projects is an advantage
