Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Compound Pharmacist to prepare, dispense, and manage customized medications based on prescriptions. The Compound Pharmacist will ensure accuracy, safety, and quality in medication preparation while providing professional pharmaceutical care and guidance to patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and compound medications according to prescriptions and medical requirements.
- Ensure accurate measurement, mixing, and formulation of pharmaceutical ingredients.
- Verify prescriptions for correctness, dosage, and drug compatibility.
- Maintain strict compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Label and dispense medications with clear usage instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the compounding area.
- Manage inventory of raw materials, chemicals, and pharmaceutical supplies.
- Monitor expiry dates and ensure proper storage of medicines.
- Provide counseling to patients on proper medication use and possible side effects.
- Maintain accurate records of compounded prescriptions and pharmacy documentation.
- Collaborate with doctors and healthcare professionals when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D).
- Valid pharmacy license/registration as per local regulatory authority.
- Experience in compounding pharmacy preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and dosage calculations.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and record-keeping systems.
