Job Title: Chef De Partie
Job Summary:
The Chef De Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and maintaining kitchen standards. The role requires culinary expertise, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and company standards
- Manage a designated kitchen section such as grill, pastry, sauce, or hot kitchen
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards
- Assist in daily kitchen operations and food preparation planning
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to senior chefs
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the work area
- Follow food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required
- Minimize food waste and maintain cost control practices
- Coordinate with other kitchen sections for smooth service operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or similar culinary role
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management
- GCC/UAE catering or hotel experience is an advantage
- Specialized expertise in a particular kitchen section preferred
