Job Summary
The HSE Engineer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. The role focuses on minimizing workplace risks, preventing accidents, promoting a safe work environment, and supporting continuous improvement in HSE performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety programs.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, environmental regulations, and HSE standards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports.
- Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and HSE training programs.
- Monitor permit-to-work systems and safe work practices.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.
- Maintain HSE documentation, records, and reports.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and evacuation drills.
- Support environmental management and waste control initiatives.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, contractors, and internal departments.
- Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement culture across the organization.
