Head Waiter / Waitress – Job Description
A Head Waiter / Waitress in Hospitality Management is responsible for leading the service team on the restaurant floor and ensuring guests receive excellent dining service.
Main Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests professionally
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Supervise and support waiters/waitresses during service
- Ensure fast and high-quality customer service
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth operations
- Handle guest complaints politely and efficiently
- Ensure tables and dining areas are clean and properly arranged
- Train junior service staff when needed
- Process bills and payments using POS systems
- Follow hygiene and safety standards
