Job Title: Project Manager – Fabrication / Oil & Gas / Subsea
Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing fabrication, oil & gas, and subsea projects while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, budget, and schedule requirements. The role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with clients, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders, and ensuring successful project delivery in accordance with contractual and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end project management activities from project award through completion and handover.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk management strategies.
- Define project objectives, deliverables, milestones, and performance metrics.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required.
Fabrication & Construction Management
- Oversee fabrication, assembly, welding, testing, coating, and installation activities.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction teams.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor fabrication productivity, quality, and material utilization.
Oil & Gas / Subsea Operations
- Manage offshore, subsea, pipeline, topside, and structural fabrication projects.
- Coordinate with marine, offshore installation, and subsea operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Support offshore mobilization, installation, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.
- Conduct project review meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Manage contractual obligations, change orders, claims, and variations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage project budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor project costs, expenditures, and financial performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Review and approve project invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments.
Risk, Quality & HSE Management
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and Quality Management Systems.
- Conduct project risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.
- Ensure adherence to client, regulatory, and company standards.
Team Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineering, procurement, fabrication, QA/QC, and construction personnel.
- Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide guidance to team members.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–15 years of experience in project management within fabrication, oil & gas, offshore, EPC, or subsea industries.
- Proven experience managing large-scale fabrication and offshore projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and project lifecycle management.

Preferred Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- PRINCE2 Certification.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification.
- Offshore safety certifications (BOSIET/HUET) where applicable.
Working Conditions
- Office, fabrication yard, and offshore project environments.
- Domestic and international travel may be required.
- May involve site visits, vessel mobilizations, and offshore assignments.
