Role Summary
The Retail Operations Manager oversees the performance and day-to-day operations of retail stores, ensuring consistent customer service, sales growth, inventory control, and compliance with company standards. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, profitability, and the overall customer experience across one or multiple store locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily retail operations to ensure smooth store performance.
- Monitor sales, profitability, and operational KPIs.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure stores maintain company standards for merchandising, cleanliness, and visual presentation.
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and loss prevention.
- Analyze sales reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate store managers and retail staff.
- Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, marketing, and finance teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Handle escalated customer concerns and resolve operational issues.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in retail operations management or multi-store retail management.
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs, inventory control, and merchandising.
- Experience with POS systems, ERP software, and retail analytics tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple locations and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fashion, FMCG, electronics, supermarket, luxury retail, or specialty retail sectors.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
