🔧 Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician (Heavy Vehicles) to join our team in Malta. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining the electrical and electronic systems of heavy vehicles and construction equipment, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in heavy vehicles and machinery.
- Install, service, and maintain vehicle wiring, lighting, batteries, starters, alternators, sensors, and electronic control systems.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues.
- Repair or replace faulty electrical components, wiring harnesses, and connectors.
- Perform preventive maintenance on vehicle electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Work closely with mechanics and maintenance teams to resolve complex vehicle issues.
✅ Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Auto Electrician, preferably with heavy vehicles or construction equipment.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
- Experience using electrical diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Technical qualification in Automotive Electrical Systems or a related field is an advantage.
- Good English communication skills.
- Pre-Departure Course Certificate is mandatory.
