🔧 Job Description
We are looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join our team in Malta. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide range of heavy construction equipment to ensure maximum performance and safety.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing on heavy equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related faults.
- Repair and replace defective components, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, and steering systems.
- Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
- Report equipment issues and recommend preventive maintenance solutions.
✅ Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and diagrams.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Pre-Departure Course Certificate is mandatory.
