Storekeeper
Job Title: Storekeeper / Inventory Controller
Department: Facilities Management
Reports To: Facilities Manager / Hard Services Supervisor
Job Purpose:
To manage the facilities storeroom, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of all spare parts, tools, equipment, and consumables to support maintenance and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders.
- Organize and maintain the storeroom in a neat, clean, and safe manner, using appropriate bin locations.
- Issue parts and materials to technicians against approved work orders or requests.
- Maintain accurate real-time inventory records in a manual or computerized system.
- Perform regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Monitor stock levels, identify re-order points, and generate purchase requests for low-stock items.
- Ensure proper storage of hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage the tool crib, including tool calibration schedules and loan records.
- Prepare inventory reports for management review.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma. Diploma in storekeeping or inventory management is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in storekeeping, preferably in a technical or maintenance environment.
- Experience with inventory management software or CAFM/CMMS systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of engineering spare parts and MRO items is advantageous.
