Clinic Manager
Job Summary:
The Clinic Manager is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and efficiency of the clinic’s daily operations. This role ensures high-quality patient care, financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and effective management of staff and resources in line with the healthcare standards of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Operations: Develop and implement clinic policies, procedures, and goals. Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow, optimal patient throughput, and a positive patient experience.
- Financial Management: Prepare and manage the clinic’s budget, monitor financial performance, control expenses, and oversee billing, coding, and collections to ensure profitability. Liaise with the accountant for financial reporting.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate all clinic staff. Foster a collaborative, professional, and positive work environment. Handle HR matters in compliance with UAE labor law.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure the clinic adheres to all regulations set by the Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi, Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and Ministry of Health & Prevention (MOHAP). Lead accreditation readiness (e.g., JCIA, CAP). Support the Quality/Infection Control Officer.
- Patient Experience: Address patient concerns and feedback promptly. Implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and service quality.
- Vendor & Inventory Management: Negotiate with suppliers, manage medical and administrative inventory, and ensure essential equipment is maintained and functional.
- Marketing & Growth: Participate in local community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote clinic services and attract new patients.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in healthcare management, preferably in a clinic setting in the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE healthcare regulations, insurance processes, and medical coding.
- Proven leadership, financial, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities in English (Arabic is a strong advantage).
